Our family of ten recently rented a penthouse unit for a Christmas week stay and we were very pleased overall with the Highmark. It's everything everyone has said: great location just a block or two from the gondola, first floor has a gourmet grocery store called wild plum that delivers to the Highmark condos. That was a great convenience! We arrived to a stocked condo and extra supplies during the week were just an elevator ride away.

The only negative was the heating system didn't work in all the bedrooms all the time - I had read about the HVAC issues others had in the past, so I wasn't surprised. Staff were helpful and maintenance personnel came quickly, but the heat never really worked properly in the bedrooms.

Thankfully the fireplace kept most of the unit warm and toasty, so it didn't ruin our vacation. I give the Highmark four stars for excellence in every other area. A great choice for families in Steamboat Springs. We are grateful for the kind words, and even more so the honest review. While we discovered that the shuttle doesn't run in the summer, the staff was very accommodating for making car service reservations and apologizing for any confusion. Fantastic stay. Wow, what a hotel and what service. Our unit was incredible, very clean and well decorated. Service, from the front desk to the shuttle driver, great and great. We took the shuttle up and walked back. They couldn't store our boots because of covid so we would bring our shoes with us each day, at the end of the day we would walk back in our shoes. Note: they did store our skis. Concierge was great. With covid they gave us excellent recommendations for dinner.

The shuttle driver was awesome, the day we checked in, I had ordered groceries ahead time. Not only did he bring me be to Safeway he also helped with the groceries at at Safeway and when we got back to the hotel. Great stay at a great location. It was a great stay all around. Kate at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The location is an easy walk to the ski valet at the transportation center.
